Pizza Nova and Variety – the Children’s charity are celebrating their 26th annual That’s Amore Pizza for Kids: Dip ‘n Give campaign. Accessible for everyone – during the month of May add a dip to your pizza order online, on the app, by phone or in-store and 50 cents from every dip in donated to kids!
Since 1999, Pizza Nova has been working with Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario to help us make profound differences in the lives of youths with disabilities, and their families, in the GTA and across Ontario. This association has resulted in more than $2.5 million for our organization via the Pizza Nova That’s Amore Pizza for Kids Day. The Primucci family and Pizza Nova team are true ambassadors of generosity and philanthropy.

From overcoming health obstacles to excelling in academics, sports, or the arts, our ambassadors represent the incredible potential that resides within every child. Their enthusiasm and commitment inspire others to join our mission and contribute to creating a brighter future for children of all abilities, around the world.
Meet our Ambassadors below.

Meet Georgio
Age: 12
Participates in: Taekwondo, Multi-sport, Camp
Ability: Down SyndromeMeet Georgio, an inspiring 11-year-old ambassador diagnosed with Robertsonian Translocation Down Syndrome at birth. Known for his loving and sociable nature, Georgio is cherished by his peers and family alike.
An athlete at heart, he proudly competes on the Special Olympics basketball team and has been dancing Hip Hop at the Toronto Dance Industry since he was three. As a member of Variety Village, he also enjoys Taekwondo classes.
Currently attending St. Agatha Catholic School, Georgio learns alongside his classmates in most subjects, receiving tailored support in Language and Math. His passion and determination shine brightly, making him a true role model for others!

Ambassador: Stella
Age: 7
Participates in: Children in Motion, Building Blocks, One-on-one reading and Summer Camp
Ability: Down SyndromeStella, a bright and ambitious 7-year-old girl with Down syndrome, embodies strength and determination. Fluent in English and French, she overcame motor delays and surgical interventions to thrive. With aspirations of becoming a doctor, Stella’s compassionate nature shines through her love for caring for others. In the kitchen, she finds joy in creative culinary adventures, especially with pizza. Stella’s passion for food hints at a potential future in the industry. Beyond that, she enjoys dancing and swimming, having achieved independence in the water through lessons at Variety Village. Stella’s infectious zest for life inspires others to embrace challenges and cherish every moment.

Ambassador: George
Age: 12
Participates in: Flames Swim Team, Volt Hockey, Personal Training
Ability: Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA)George is 12 years old and has been a member of Varity Village since he was 7 years old. Like his peers, he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games, and going to the movies, but his biggest passion is swimming. He is a member of the Variety Village Flames para swim team and loves the freedom of movement when he is in the water. George has a rare disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). He is one of 15,000 in the world and although the symptoms can make life difficult, they also make him very special. FA causes a loss of coordination and balance, so, sometimes he falls or stumbles and has hard time walking. To help manage his symptoms, in addition to the swim team, George does physiotherapy and personal training at Variety Village. All the activities help him to retain his strength and allow him to be independent.

Ambassador: Ben
Age: 7
Participates in: Volt Hockey, Challenger Baseball, Swimming
Ability: Cerebral PalsyBen’s journey at Variety Village began years ago when he started attending physiotherapy. His therapist recognized his potential and encouraged him to explore the various programs offered at the facility. Through their guidance, Ben discovered his love for sports and his ability to excel in them. Ben’s eyes lit up every time he stepped foot inside Variety Village. One of Ben’s favorite activities at Variety Village was VOLT Hockey. The moment he strapped himself into the power chair, Ben’s competitive spirit soared as he raced against his friends, each determined to score the winning goal. But it wasn’t just volt hockey that captured Ben’s heart. Challenger baseball was another activity he eagerly participated in. He enjoys the thrill of running the bases.

A record-breaking 2024!
In 2024, Pizza Nova once again broke records with their Dip’n Give campaign benefitting Variety. Throughout the entire month of May, 50 cents for every dip purchased at Pizza Nova locations was donated to Variety to help kids with disabilities. Over the last five years of the campaign, Pizza Nova has continued to surpass previous totals, and 2024 was no exception. The campaign resulted in a donation of $$217,804 to Variety – the highest amount yet!
Pizza Nova’s leadership and generosity allows Variety to provide equipment, experiences and programs that give kids with disabilities a chance to play and grow. We look forward to continuing our partnership through the Dip’n Give campaign for many years to come!

Celebrating Domenic Primucci
Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario proudly celebrates Pizza Nova’s president and CEO, Domenic Primucci, who was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal on March 26, 2025. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and to Canada.
Domenic has been a dedicated advocate for children of all abilities for over 25 years, significantly supporting Variety through the annual “That’s Amore Pizza for Kids” campaign.
