The second annual VOLT Hockey Canada North American Championship has come to a triumphant close, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable memories, intense competition, and heartwarming stories of camaraderie.

This year’s tournament was hosted by VOLT Hockey Canada and Variety Ontario at Variety Village in Scarborough from May 25 to 26. Bringing together players from across North America for a thrilling showcase of adaptive sportsmanship, we welcomed teams from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and Boston USA this year for a series of electrifying matches that were kindly officiated by the Greater Toronto Hockey League.

The North American VOLT Hockey Tournament was a brilliant showcase of not just the talent demonstrated by the players, but also the expertise brought by our sponsors, the Maple Leafs Sports Entertainment Alumni Association, Cooper Equipment Rentals, and Scotiabank.

From the opening face-off to the final buzzer, our VOLT Hockey teams demonstrated exceptional aptitude and strategy in the sport. The Variety Village Vipers clinched the Division 1 title, with the Alberta Titans in 2nd, the Alberta Spartans in 3rd, and the Boston Whiplash in 4th place. In Division 2, the Niagara Stingrays took home the win, with the Barrie Volts in 2nd and the Boston Whiplash in 3rd.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the VOLT Hockey Canada North AmericanTournament is the spirit of inclusion and community it fosters. The event was not just about competition but also about bringing youths together, celebrating diversity, and promoting the message that team sports are for every-BODY. All the players should be proud of their contributions, and most importantly that they had a great time with friends while participating in the great Canadian hockey tradition.
