Track Winter Season Opener

The VVAC Winter Season Opener invites participants of all ages and abilities to compete in various events, including the 50m dash, hurdles, 400m, 800m, and relays. There are Open and Masters divisions available. Athletes will race on a 5-lane, 200m Beynon BSS 1000 Hobart Surface, with pin spikes (6mm) allowed. Full amenities, including changing rooms, showers, and lockers (please bring your own lock), are available.

When: Sunday, January 5, 2025
Where: Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Avenue, Scarborough, ON

Schedule: (Final schedule will be released January 3)

• Doors open at 8:00 AM for warmups.
• First race starts at 9:00 AM.
• Event lineup includes relays, sprints, hurdles, distance events, and more—culminating in a 4x400m relay.

How to Register:
Registration: Online via Trackie.com.
Deadline: Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Fee: $20 per individual event | $30 per relay.
Waiver: Complete them online during registration.

Important Notes:
No food or drinks allowed in the fieldhouse.
Spectators are welcome. Stay in designated areas for safety.
